The altar before the agenda

You cannot build a whole life from an empty soul.

Faith is the first command post. The tone is non-denominational Christian: Scripture first, repentance without theater, courage without cruelty, and a household that sees the Word opened before the noise.

Verse Into Practice

Psalm 1:1-2

Psalm 1:1-2 ESV: “his delight is in the law of the LORD”

The blessed life is fed by better counsel. What you meditate on eventually teaches your feet where to walk.

Self-Reflection

Ask better questions and the day gets harder to fake.

Where did I seek comfort before I sought God?

Did my children see faith as real life or as church vocabulary?

What command did I understand today that now requires obedience?

Weekly Mission

Protect a daily Scripture appointment before the feed.

Simple family reading: read 5 verses, ask what stood out, ask what obedience looks like, pray for 60 seconds.

If the kids are young: one verse, one question, one prayer. Do not make it a lecture.

If you miss a morning: restart at lunch. The goal is obedience, not pretending the streak is holy.

Month-Long Challenge

  • 25 Scripture-before-screen mornings.
  • 15 family Scripture moments.
  • 4 written repentance-and-repair notes.
  • 1 memorized passage with the family.

5F Index Inputs

These are the daily checks that feed the score.

Editorial Notes

The voice here should feel like a camp meeting and a war room: hopeful, urgent, plain-spoken, and pointed at Jesus.

Use short ESV excerpts, references, and paraphrase. Let readers open the full passage themselves.
